The desktop app gets a Studio for making images and video, local or in the cloud, plus more than 50 fixes. It includes everything in Atomic Agent v0.6.10.

Studio

A new Studio group in the sidebar, with Images and Video pages.

  • Images: Create, Edit, Reference, Transform, Inpaint, Extend and Upscale, each one on when the chosen model supports it. Drop, paste or pick source, mask and reference pictures. Shapes, quality, count, and an Advanced fold for negative prompt, steps, guidance and seed. A viewer with Save as, Copy, Use as source, Restore these settings and Send to chat, and a library with Pinned.
  • Video: from text or from a first frame, 4, 6 or 8 seconds (4 by default), resolution, 16:9 or 9:16, sound. A player and a clip library.
  • Cloud models run on OpenRouter with your key. When OpenRouter publishes a price per image or per second, the Generate button shows it. OpenRouter charges your account, and Stop does not cancel a cloud charge.
  • Local models come from the Atomic Chat catalog: the download resumes, is checked against its checksum and checks free disk space first. Non-commercial and 18+ models carry labels.
  • Your local chat model and Studio share the GPU. A local picture pauses the local chat model and brings it back afterwards; a chat turn waits with a Stop link meanwhile.
  • Files are kept in models/studio/images and models/studio/videos in the app's data folder, and survive engine updates.

The agent can make them too: ask for a picture or a clip in chat. Videos play inline, and pictures and clips have Open in Studio.

Also new

  • Rename a chat from its menu or with a double-click.
  • Attach archives: zip, tar, gz and tgz.
  • Free disk space is checked before a local model download.
  • Exa key card: when web search runs out of free searches, the chat asks for a free Exa key right there. Settings › General has the same field.
  • Code blocks get a header with the language and a Copy button.
  • Command palette finds up to 20 chats, best match first.
  • Reasoning rows show how long the model thought.
  • Atomic Chat Core 0.18.6 comes inside the installer.

Fixes

  • A provider that answers with an HTTP error says it refused, instead of "not answering". A failed model start shows a short reason with Details.
  • Onboarding puts a model already on your computer first, links to each provider's key page, and points Ollama and LM Studio users to their apps.
  • Telegram pairing copy matches what the app can do, asks before wiping the token or owner, and ignores double clicks.
  • Clearer approval wording, context ring, Thinking budget, Diagnostics (with buttons to open the data folder, working folder and logs), MCP and embedding explanations.
  • Fusion seats show full model names. A file dropped over Settings, the palette or a dialog is no longer attached to the chat.
  • Higher contrast for secondary text (WCAG AA).
