PR: Rooms exported with wrong elevation with shared coordinates

Problem Description

Revit 2025 & 2026 IFC Exporter 25.4.3
When we export a model with shared coordinates, the rooms are created high above the rest of the geometry. The offset is the height of the project elevation.
If we reset shared coordinates to zero, the rooms align properly. If we then set a now project elevation the problem returns.

I have an update. We found why this is happening.
Rooms that are placed on levels that have elevation base set to Survey Point, take their elevation value from this, while the rest of the project is placed at the project elevation.
If we change the level type to one that uses Project Base Point, the Rooms are at the right elevation. But we should not have to do this. This seems like a recently-introduced bug.

Thank you for reporting this issue and for providing the excellent diagnostics! Identifying that the problem is specifically tied to the Level's Elevation Base being set to 'Survey Point' is critical.

The issue has been identified and we are actively working on a resolution for the affected Revit 2025 and 2026 releases.
This issue is also reported in Jira as "REVIT-237254".
