OpenEPL 0.9.1 — the editor, fixed
A maintenance release: four things that were wrong in Studio, and one that was missing.
The code editor
- Code no longer turns white. The editable layer is
nowrapand scrolls a long line sideways; the syntax-colour layer beneath it wrapped instead. The tail landed on a second visual row, every line below shifted down one, and in a narrow handler pane the text slid out of its clipped box entirely. The colour layer now clips and scrolls with the text. - Enter indents. It copies the current line's indentation and adds a level after a block opener —
sub,if,for, match, a component block — and replaces a selection the way an editor should. - Tab indents instead of leaving. Tab and Shift+Tab shift the selection; focus stays in the editor. With the completion popup open, Tab and Enter still take the highlighted row.
Opening files
- The welcome screen's file list opens what you click. An unstyled RmlUi scrollbar was laid out over the whole list and swallowing every press.
- Open File uses your desktop's own dialog — zenity or kdialog on Linux,
GetOpenFileNameon Windows — with the in-app list as the fallback.
When the toolchain is missing
invoke clang: program not found now says which program, that it is not on PATH, and what to install, and points at SETUP-WINDOWS.md, new at the root of the Windows bundle. It leads with the "Add LLVM to the system PATH" checkbox that LLVM's installer leaves unticked, which is what the message was really about.
Also
openepl project <path> set <key>=<value>... — the only writer of a project file, as openepl project is already its only reader. Edits are applied line by line, so comments, field order and hand-added keys survive.
The README's counts were wrong (337 commands and 21 components, not 302 and 19), it claimed the language had no enum or module constant long after both shipped, and it said nothing about the syntax the last two releases were about.
Unpack and run — no installer, nothing to configure.
