Sorry for my grammatical mistakes, I am Ukrainian myself.
So, I would like to share my idea about the burgs number, so yeah my remake about it is in my link: https://ibb.co/6RLyTNv. Also forgot to add something: 250,000+, most important one. - less than 70? or 80?, also 500,000+ - probably more than 40 or 30.
Unnecessary or optional types of burgs, which you can set to 0 are 10,000,000+ and 5,000,000+.
Tried my best to describe this feature more understandable, would be really appreciated if somebody will add this feature.
If you think my idea is stupid, feel free to ignore, if you think that's really hard to add this feature, then please don't add this.
The reason why I created this idea, It's because when I set my own population of my big country, I set urban population to high, then there is too many burgs, which have over million population and all my towns have almost the same population, for example, this city having 588,182 comparing to this city having 591,723. 1,092,824 to 1,100,712 and etc.
Also, I love this map generator soo much, I give my huge respect to these, especially for Azgaar, who made and helped making this great map generator.
Waiting for answers.
If you don't like my maximum count, do without it, or change this count by yourself.

Hello. It makes sense, but generator works in a different way and it will be hard to change it. It generates burgs in places suitable for them and calculates population based on number of parameters, mainly biome and geographical position. So we cannot just assign any population we want, but need to change the algorithm to add more variety.

unrelated, but the suggested numbers are quite modern. Ancient Rome had cc 500k inhabitants, 1 million at its very peak. That was considered extremely huge city of that time fed by a whole empire. Other metropolises were much more modest, around 200k. The extreme population boom of our time we are used to requires very advanced food industry and healthcare.

Well I understood you, but you were right, I want to create a big modern country instead big medieval country, it's because I mostly interested in creating fictional modern countries, not medieval countries, I am not so quite interested in creating medieval countries. The actual reason of that idea, is because I want to prevent the same population numbers, my towns have each other the almost same population numbers, for example 2,007,317 to 2,011,838, 306,138 to 307,381, 1,008,178 to 1,011,813 and etc. Don't know how to prevent from that situation without little work, so, guess I have to do it by myself. But still, thank you for your work.

You should make the map more diverse. Population is calculated from habitability. If there are few habitable (forests) and some barely habitable areas, the population ratio will change accordingly. Your map could be very homogeneous, I generated several maps and there is huger variety in capital populations. There are 40k cities (around habitable areas) and <5k cities (around harsh environment).

FMG is very hackable though. If you don't like the defaults, just open the console (press F12), copy paste and run the following code:
pack.burgs.forEach(b=>b.population*=gauss(1, 0.8, 0.01, 10, 10))

The above will transform all your populations using a gauss distribution. You can play with the numbers. The params are:
expected value, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, round (don't touch that)
