Ask AI (from v0.2.0)

An Ask AI button on an issue turns it into a ready-made question for an AI assistant: what's wrong, the numbers behind it, and the current DNS records, asking for step-by-step fixes.

Turning it on

Off for every organization until an org admin turns it on. New organizations get the choice in the onboarding wizard's "AI help" step. Organizations that haven't answered yet show org admins a small card in the bottom-right corner, once: Turn on, or close it to say no. Either way the answer is saved, and it can be changed any time under Settings → General → Ask AI. Once on, the button appears for everyone in the organization on:

  • Action queue items (the Overview and each domain's Fixes);
  • DNS checks that warn or fail (a domain's DNS checks tab);
  • senders that pass DMARC on less than 90% of their mail.

What gets shared

Clicking the button shows the exact text first. Nothing is sent until you pick where it goes:

  • Open in Claude or Open in ChatGPT opens a new tab with the question filled in, under your own account there.
  • Copy and open Gemini copies it and opens Gemini, where you paste it (Gemini has no link that fills in a question).
  • Copy prompt for any other assistant.

The app itself never contacts an AI service.

In the question: the issue you clicked; domain names; the mail services recognized from the domain's MX and SPF (e.g. Microsoft 365); public DNS records (SPF, DMARC, TLS-RPT, MTA-STS); check results; sender names, sending IPs and their reverse DNS; DKIM signatures seen; which receivers reported the mail; pass rates and message counts. It asks for the answer in four parts: likely cause, step-by-step fixes, how to check it worked, and risks.

Never in the question: your organization's name, anyone's email address, your mailbox or reporting addresses (also replaced inside records, e.g. rua=mailto:<your reporting address>), or raw reports.

Only verified domains get the button.
