RedBaron_Recomp v0.10 - Public Test
Pre-releaseRedBaron_Recomp v0.10 - Public Test
Native Windows x64 recompilation of Snoopy Flying Ace. This is an experimental community test release, not a finished 1.0.
Download
- RedBaron_Recomp-v0.10-windows-x64.zip: recommended smaller installer; detects existing tools and downloads missing ones.
- RedBaron_Recomp-v0.10-windows-x64-offline.zip: the same port with build tools included. Extract the complete ZIP and keep its
Toolsfolder beside the launcher. - SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for both packages.
Neither package contains the original game or DLCs. Supply your compatible Xbox 360 files (Title ID 584109B5). Windows x64, .NET Framework 4.8 and a Direct3D 12 GPU are required.
Install
- Extract the ZIP and open
RedBaron_Launcher.exe. - In Install, select your extracted game folder /
default.xex, or compatible original content package (files without an extension are accepted). - Optionally select the DLC folder, choose a new empty installation folder and click Install.
- Wait for dependencies, extraction and local compilation. The progress bar/log shows the current stage. Temporary build files are cleaned after success.
- Select Game language, video/controls and player name, then Save and Play.
Existing installations can add optional DLCs with the same Install button without recompiling the game. See the installation guide.
Included
- English launcher, standard/offline installation, tool detection, unified optional DLC installation, shortcuts, logs and verified GitHub update downloads.
- Seven original game languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. Restart after changing language.
- Permanent removal of the broken startup splash image sequence, including old configurations that disabled the previous skip option.
- Keyboard/mouse-button and SDL controller mapping, two-player local split-screen and bots.
- Higher frame rates with physics timing correction, VSync, render/output resolution controls, FXAA, anisotropic filtering, FPS counter and optional HDR10 conversion.
- Spatial FSR/CAS and experimental FSR 3.1.5 / NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA modes. No frame generation.
- EOS P2P/relay, public/private and co-op lobby integration, in-game matchmaking, Epic friends/overlay invitations and native achievement/leaderboard bridges.
Test status
The updated installer was exercised through a clean local install and game launch. Portuguese/Japanese menus, all seven runtime language IDs, removal of the splash before the first displayed frame, 20 launcher checks, 10 EOS component tests and 2 runtime/input tests passed. A previous clean Windows 11 install and two-PC Internet lobby/flight were also exercised.
Final multiplayer/cloud validation will be done by the community. Invite acceptance, full rounds, eight real players, every co-op mode, achievement unlock/restore and leaderboard score read-back are not claimed as fully validated. External Epic account access may remain restricted until the application's service-side public authorization/brand review is complete. Offline play remains available if sign-in fails.
Four-player local cameras are not implemented. Temporal upscaling can still show HUD shimmer/ghosting; try FSR 1, CAS or Bilinear if affected. HDR10 converts SDR content and is not native HDR lighting. Targets above 120 FPS remain experimental. Linux/Android builds are not included.
Report reproducible problems through GitHub Issues. Include version, hardware, steps and redacted logs from Update > Open logs folder. Never attach original game/DLC files, eos/config.ini or tokens.
