ROMarr 1.8.0 makes setup easier, library changes safer, and ROMarr available as a self-contained Windows desktop app.
Getting started
The setup guide checks the connections ROMarr needs and points out what to fix before you rely on background searches. The README and plugin guide now give people a clearer path through a first install and explain where the ROM Hub catalog fits.
Library and search improvements
- Preview a safe library rename before applying it, then roll it back if needed.
- Wanted/Missing now reconciles against verified DAT titles instead of guessing from similar release filenames.
- Interactive MiNERVA search carries the selected archive path into qBittorrent and leaves other files unselected. Missing, ambiguous, and unsupported paths fail closed.
- Fixes improve Prowlarr handoff, NZBGet completion matching, long archive verification, and plugin probing on older Synology systems.
- MiNERVA Archive v0.2.0 is in the ROM Hub catalog. Its results keep each matching file row and path visible. The plugin's magnet still represents the whole collection; use ROMarr's interactive path selection when you need qBittorrent to select one file.

Windows desktop
The Windows ZIP includes the ROMarr app and its runtime, so it runs without installing Python or Git. The release workflow also builds an unsigned MSIX for package testing. It is not Store-ready yet: publisher identity, signing, and Microsoft Store review are still required.
MiNERVA is an optional community source. Only download files you are authorized to obtain.
