1.0 is here! 🎉

I know it's not really a big release when it comes to amount of features, but a lot has happened under the hood.

Features

  • Added a web reader.
  • Bulk author and series edit in the shelf.

Improvements

  • Progress sync from KOReader to BookHeaven is now sort-of possible. The chapter should match just fine in most cases, just not the exact page.

So, why v1 now?

Well, v1 means that the project is now feature complete (as in features I personally want to use).
There are still a few TODOs in the roadmap when it comes to the Server that I think would be nice to have but at this point they are mostly up to demand.

Web Reader

The web reader, as the name implies, allows you to read your books directly in your browser.
But it's not like any other ebook reader out there (that I've seen, at the very least).
I've put a lot of care and thought into making the reading experience as customizable as possible.

If you are using the Reader app for Android, then you already know what's up.
For those who don't, well, you can customize the font, font size, line height, text indent, paragraph spacing, letter spacing and last but not least, the page margins.

All of these settings are saved locally on device per profile, so they won't clash with your Reader app settings if you are already using it.

For navigation, you can click on the left or right side of the page to go to the previous or next page, respectively, or you can also use the Left-Right arrows and PageDown-PageUp keys on your keyboard.
