Releases: Bouncelight/timetap-releases

Timetap 1.3.4

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 31 Oct 21:50
  • For the iPhone app: a connected phone can fix your own days - change or add hours, delete a period, comment on a
    day, register or remove absence - the same as on the Week page. A phone only ever changes its owner's own hours,
    also when the owner is an admin.

Timetap 1.3.3

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 31 Oct 20:15
  • Arriving at work during a day started away: when a day started on the phone away from the office reaches the
    office - your tag on a reader, or the phone joining the work network - the remote part ends there and the day goes
    on as an office day, with the same project. A tag tap then says At work instead of clocking you out. And a morning
    the phone hands in after you tapped in at the office is kept as remote, instead of being refused.
  • A reader without a setup card: IT > Readers > Install the reader software has Set it up too - the reader gets
    its name and WiFi over USB and joins straight away. For a server without a reader of its own, and for Docker, where
    readers join your normal WiFi (type it, and this server's address and port).
  • Everyone's balance has moved to the Admin page, at the top, sorted with whoever is furthest over or under first.
    A name opens that person's time bank, as before.
  • Backup off the server offers a NAS or Jottacloud. The "other service, set up with rclone" choice is gone (a place
    added that way before keeps working).
  • Docker: the image carries Timetap's name, description and icon, so NAS dashboards (Unraid) show the icon.

Timetap 1.3.2

  • The notice about system updates now says what to do on the Pi itself (sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade,
    or sudo reboot), and notices when the Pi has been updated that way. Docker no longer shows it: a new image is the
    update there.
  • Help texts and messages no longer point to the developer's tools: what to do after a dead server, and what to run
    when certbot or rclone is missing.
  • The installer's last screen says "Backup off the server".

Timetap 1.3.1

  • A Timetap address works: the server was turned away by the address service ("said no (HTTP 403)"), because it
    didn't say it was Timetap. It does now, also to Cloudflare.

Timetap 1.3.0

  • IT > Secure address: a Timetap address (name.timetap.no) - https without a domain of your own. Pick a name, type
    the invitation code that came with Timetap, then Get the certificate. No account and no token on the server: it keeps
    only the secret for its own name, and the name can only point at an address on your local network. Your own domain
    works as before. Not in Docker.

Timetap 1.2.0

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 31 Oct 00:10
  • For the iPhone app: the Month view and Your patterns now come from the server for connected phones (two new phone
    endpoints), and a Lite server sends the app the plain absence names ("Sick").

Timetap 1.1.0

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 30 Oct 23:51
  • Timetap Lite: a Register absence button on Week - holiday, sick or time off, for one day or several. Everyone
    registers their own; admins see it.
  • Timetap Lite: the Time bank is back, simple: your balance and how each week added to it or took from it.
  • For admins, in both versions: Everyone's balance on the Time bank page, with a name opening that person's bank.
  • Register absence is also a button above the days on Week in the full version.

Timetap 1.0.3

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 30 Oct 22:52
  • Docker: Timetap now starts on a data folder the server made (for example Unraid's appdata), instead of stopping with
    "Permission denied". It hands the folder to the user it runs as - PUID/PGID, 1000 if not set - and never runs as root.
  • Unraid: a template for Docker > Add Container (unraid/timetap.xml, docs/unraid.md).

Timetap 1.0.2

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 30 Oct 22:32
  • Setup cards: a card that misses a page now tries that page again instead of failing at once. Small NFC stickers often
    miss a few, even lying still; a card-sized NTAG card works best.
  • Setup cards: the Pi checks the WiFi name and password before it writes a card, and says what a reader would refuse
    (for example æ, ø or å in the password) instead of writing a card the reader can't use.
  • Installing the reader software: a reader that has the right MicroPython already is wiped and installed without
    pressing any buttons, and after putting MicroPython on, the reader now starts by itself. The help says where the two
    tiny buttons are when they are needed.
  • After the Pi restarts, its own reader can write setup cards within a minute, not five.

Timetap 1.0.1

@Bouncelight Bouncelight released this 30 Oct 20:46
  • IT > Readers > Install the reader software: plug a new reader into the computer with USB and install everything it
    needs from the web page, in Chrome or Edge. Then make a setup card for it as before.
  • The readers' NFC driver now comes with Timetap and is kept up to date with the rest of the reader software.
  • Timetap Lite: IT > Software > Edition. For teams that only need hours and projects - Week, Month, Projects, a simple
    balance and absence as a plain mark - without the Norwegian working-time rules. Switching keeps everything.
