2.0.1 makes rbox honest and safe around very large folders. If a huge
directory (a build tree, a browser checkout) is about to be synced, rbox now
refuses before spending time encrypting and uploading, names the directory,
and shows the one-line rbox ignore command that skips it — files stay on
disk. The workspace size limit was raised from 200,000 to 1,000,000 files,
and it now only applies when a machine tries to add past it: other machines
always accept and apply what was already synced, so a workspace can never get
stuck too big to repair itself.

Fixed

  • rbox ignore --purge now actually removes everything your ignore rules
cover, including files inside Git repositories, and its preview tells you
exactly how many files would be removed and from where.
  • A machine receiving a very large cleanup no longer freezes retrying forever;
sync history problems now show an honest ⛔ status naming rbox recover.
  • rbox upgrade no longer prints an error line for every leftover daemon
record from past test runs, and no longer claims an upgrade was installed
    when nothing changed.
  • The one-time cache rewrite that made every sync pause (tens of MB written
for a one-file change) is gone — cache updates are now instant.
  • Faster syncs on busy machines: pulls reuse work the background daemon
already did instead of redoing it.
  • Several small CLI fixes: destructive commands (trash empty, key revoke,
device revoke) now ask before acting (use --yes in scripts), file paths
work from subdirectories, tab completion improvements, and honest wording
when a recovery phrase is saved as a plain file.
