v0.1.23 — Isolated setup and a complete Project Mode workflow
Project Mode now has a reproducible first-run route and a complete real-task walkthrough.
Try the isolated Web runtime
Requires Node 24.9+, npm and Git:
git clone --branch v0.1.23 https://github.com/Burns1028/dsh-plugin-project-mode.git
cd dsh-plugin-project-mode
node scripts/project-mode.mjs setup
node scripts/project-mode.mjs startSetup installs the locked DSH 0.2.1-rc.3 runtime and applies exactly the repository's three reviewed compatibility extensions in a separate directory. It does not modify an installed Desktop app or reuse the ordinary DSH profile. Use node scripts/project-mode.mjs doctor to check preparation. First-run guide.
Watch a whole task
60-second MP4 · Reproducible starter and human prompts · Actual result files
Exporter implements a CLI change while Docs maintains its guide. A human changes the ordering directly inside Exporter; the Coordinator receives the ended-turn result, aligns the work and later reuses the same Workers and saved context. The finished fixture has 9 independently verified passing tests. Waits are omitted and labeled in the recording; this is not a 60-second completion claim.
Validation and boundaries
- Production build, Host/Client typechecks, 142 regression tests, 8 native contracts and 19 launcher tests passed locally.
- Fresh npm, forwarder and Git package consumers passed; clean-checkout npm ci passed.
- A fresh isolated macOS arm64 setup, real model/native UI workflow and completed-turn restart were checked. macOS/Linux launcher CI is configured; full Windows installation remains unverified.
- Plugin coordination behavior is unchanged from 0.1.22. Stock DSH rc.3 still requires the documented extensions. Natural delegation remains model-dependent; the historical new-Worker timeline Retry limitation remains documented.
This is an unofficial developer preview, independently maintained without DeepSeek endorsement. Existing releases and tags are unchanged.
Looking for the first 5–10 DSH testers: try a small project and report the actual result through the trial feedback form. Successful tasks and blocked installations are both useful.
Project Mode 0.1.22 — Isolation fixes and clearer architecture
Maintenance release for native Project coordination in DeepSeek Harness.
- Fix cross-Project error contamination: a recovered background warning no longer permanently blocks other Coordinator turns. Current Project work and canonical result consumption still govern closure.
- Align Coordinator Worker lists, public snapshots and UI membership. Failed creation placeholders remain internal; real Workers with failed execution remain visible.
- Extract native event bindings, Project lifecycle and snapshot assembly from the Host entry. Split dispatch into durable preparation, native admission and lifecycle actions. Public Remote and storage contracts stay unchanged.
- Reorganize both READMEs with capabilities, quick start, usage, project structure and documentation links; clarify data ownership and contributor testing.
Validation:142 Host/Client/integration tests,8 native contracts,Host/Client typechecks, fresh npm/forwarder/Git install consumers and clean-checkout npm ci. Independent review found no actionable issues. A real Desktop model task dispatched a Worker, received its full final AI payload exactly once and closed one Coordinator turn after result consumption.
Developer preview. Requires DSH0.2.1-rc.3 with the repository's three explicit compatibility extensions; no automatic application patching or npm publication. The newly spawned Worker timeline briefly required the existing Retry action when native session observation was not yet ready; this remaining UI read-timing issue is recorded in docs/verification.md. Natural delegation remains model-dependent.
Project Mode 0.1.21 — Developer Preview
Initial public developer preview of Project Mode for DeepSeek Harness.
- Persistent Coordinator and continuable Workers, with full final-AI-message return and same-native-turn result handling.
- Coordinator-owned notes/archives and shared progressive context: Workers contribute reusable findings; the Coordinator organizes and prunes knowledge.
- Native sidebar branches, stable Worker icons, segment-owned capsules, family archival, native Workers/notes tabs and collapsed Markdown input/output.
- Compact idle sidebar spacing, transparent Back control and no independent Worker permission picker.
Requires DSH 0.2.1-rc.3 with the three explicit compatibility extensions documented in the repository. Stock rc.3 cannot enable this plugin. Compatibility patches are not installed automatically; this is not a one-click Desktop installer.
Validation: 139 Host/Client/integration tests, 8 native contracts, Host/Client typechecks, fresh npm/Git-forwarder/Git consumers and a clean-checkout npm ci. A real Desktop model task exercised shared context and Coordinator turn closure; UI polish was checked in the installed application. Natural delegation judgment remains model-dependent.
Assets: npm bundle for installation and a Git-root forwarder tarball. MIT. Private conversations, credentials, screenshots and private development history are excluded.
