WaComM

WaComM: A parallel Water quality Community Model for pollutant transport and dispersion operational predictions

Compile

  1. Create the wacomm directory and its subs

It is assumed that WaComM will be installed in the user's home directory.

cd $HOME
mkdir wacomm
cd wacomm
mkdir ext
mkdir work
mkdir etc
mkdir dist
  1. Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/CCMMMA/wacomm.git
  1. Create the profile script

In this example the compiler is set as PGI.

  1. Set the environment
source ext/profile
  1. Download the dependencies
cd $WACOMM_ROOT/dist

wget ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/netcdf-4.6.1.tar.gz

  1. Compile the dependencies
cd $WACOMM_ROOT/dist

tar -xvzf hdf5-1.10.2.tar.gz
cd hdf5-1.10.2
./configure --prefix=$HDF5_HOME --enable-hl --enable-shared --enable-fortran --enable-build-mode=production --enable-unsupported --enable-cxx --with-zlib --with-szlib --enable-threadsafe --with-pthread
make
make install
cd ..

tar -xvzf netcdf-4.6.1.tar.gz
cd netcdf-4.6.1

6. Compile WaComM
