I like that idea too! But right now there are like 20 conferences so it might be a little over-engineering. That said, I think someone is having a poke at that feature already, so we'll see how it goes. My guess is there must be 100 or more front-end related conferences around the world each year, so at that point geographic filtering is definitely worth it.
