Perfect Dark XBLA PC Recomp v0.9.0

First public release: Perfect Dark from the Xbox 360 remaster, running natively on Windows PC.

• The whole game: solo missions, Combat Simulator with Simulants, Co-Operative and Counter-Operative, Carrington Institute training, challenges and cheats.
• Up to 4K windowed or fullscreen, with Render Scale 1x / 2x / 3x and Upscaling: Off, Sharpen (AMD CAS) or FSR (AMD FSR 1).
• Steady 60 FPS with tear-free V-Sync. Direct3D 12 on NVIDIA and Vulkan on AMD and Intel graphics cards, picked automatically.
• Keyboard and mouse: raw mouse look, rebindable keys (all five mouse buttons and the wheel), a radial weapon menu, and the mouse works in every menu. Xbox controllers work too; button prompts hide when no controller is connected.
• LAN and Direct Connect multiplayer for up to 8 players, also over Radmin VPN, ZeroTier, Tailscale or Hamachi, and every PC hears the host's music. Local split-screen for up to 4.
• Fixes: the game clock no longer runs 2% fast and network matches no longer jump ahead every few seconds; dark rooms are dark but visible instead of pitch black; hosted lobbies no longer crash after three minutes; the game uses about a third of one CPU core instead of keeping three busy; Xbox LIVE leftovers removed; Auto-Aim starts off since the mouse aims.
• Bug reports: every run writes a log to resources\runtime\logs; a crash adds a [crash] line and a small .dmp file, and diagnostics = true in resources\userdata\perfect_dark.toml writes a detailed log for stutter or lag. See the README.

To install, extract the ZIP, open Perfect Dark.exe, and select your Perfect Dark package; it is checked and imported once, and the game starts straight away after that. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time (the program is not signed): choose More info, then Run anyway.

You need your own copy of Perfect Dark XBLA (Xbox 360 title ID 584109C2). The release does not contain the original game executable, graphics, sound, music or other game data.

The launcher includes a package reader derived from Velocity and is licensed under the GPL-3.0. The game itself is released under The Unlicense. See the README for installation, controls, known limitations and build instructions.
