Running this code on ipython notebook 3.1 with matplotlib 1.4.3 on python 3.4.1 on windows, I was generating errors:

svg.embedded_char_paths is depreciated and replaced with svg.fonttype

and

examples.download is not a valid rc parameter

neat, I'll have to test this locally before merging. Thanks @j9ac9k!

I am running on Mac OSX 10.10.3 with Python 2.7.9 on Jupyter Notebook. I just cloned this repo yesterday (August 31) and part of this issue still exists for me. I get the examples.download is not a valid rc parameter error.

I see that there has been a commit and file changed in response to this issue, but those changes did not take effect for the bmh_matplotlibrc.json file I cloned. I also cannot seem to find the commit in the commit history.
