• Automatic retries for YouTube bot checks: When YouTube asks you to confirm you are not a bot, FramePort tries guest cookies and alternate download methods before asking you to sign in.

FramePort downloads video or audio from a link and converts it into files ready to use on Windows.

• Higher image quality: Select source video by resolution, frame rate, and bitrate, then encode to H.264 or H.265 at high quality. Output files may be larger.
• Convert to the selected format: H.264/H.265 re-encodes video with NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, or CPU encoders supported by your device. “Original” keeps the video without re-encoding.
• Broader YouTube format support: yt-dlp uses the JavaScript runtime included with the app without increasing the installer size.
• Save directly to the selected folder: No separate .frameport-* directory is created. Temporary files stay in the same folder and are removed when file organization finishes.
• Unicode filenames: Correctly handles paths containing Thai, Japanese, and other Unicode characters.
• No overwrites: If a clip name already exists, the new file is saved in the same folder as Clip 2.mp4, Clip 3.mp4, and so on.
• Safer file handling: Keep the source file until downloading finishes, and report errors if moving or converting a file fails.
