The first version bump since 1.0.0-beta.1 (3 August 2026). Update with zeltro update, or with your package manager if you installed the app's packages.

Highlights

  • Podium is now Zeltro. New name, new commands (zeltro …), and the website at zeltro.ai. zeltro migrate-names moves an older install's containers, network and projects to the new names, with a preview and a rollback.
  • Two new AI agents: OpenCode and Hermes Agent, next to Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Qwen Code and Aider. zeltro ai-set --agent opencode|hermes, with your own sign-in, a provider key, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
  • macOS and Windows. macOS installs verified on real hardware. Windows runs Zeltro through WSL2.
  • 114 more apps in the library (214 in all), 7 Node frameworks, and framework starters on current versions (Next 16, Nuxt 4, Astro 7, Vite 8, Express 5, Fastify 5, NestJS 12).
  • Projects are reached by address, not by hostnames in /etc/hosts, which Zeltro no longer touches. Apps answer on their real address.

For AI agents

  • Per-session overrides: ZELTRO_AI_AGENT, ZELTRO_AI_MODEL, ZELTRO_AI_API_BASE, ZELTRO_AI_API_KEY(_FILE), and ZELTRO_AI_LANGUAGE for the reply language.
  • zeltro peers / zeltro send: agents in different projects message each other through the Zeltro app.
  • zeltro gui: an agent can ask you a question, request a secret without seeing it, or notify you, through the app.
  • An AGENTS.md in the projects directory, kept up to date, so agents start oriented.
  • Cheap and local models: Qwen Code, OpenRouter, Ollama. See Cheap and local models.

Fixes and changes

  • Shared Postgres data no longer lives in an anonymous volume. It moves to the named volume on start.
  • Shared MariaDB 12.0 (end of life) to 12.3 LTS.
  • stop-services stops every service; status no longer reports healthy services as stopped.
  • curl | bash installs no longer end silently when run without a terminal (e.g. over SSH).
  • Creating a project's GitHub repo never touches an enclosing git repository.
  • Many documentation fixes; the guide was checked page by page against the code.

The desktop app is versioned separately (currently 1.0.0-beta.13) and ships from zeltro-releases.
