Desktop and Android are versioned independently, so the newest desktop build carries a different version number. Each in-app updater tracks its own release line.
Icon recoloured — white on black
The v0.8.1 icon read as washed out at launcher size. The silver gradient on a #2a2a2e plate only reached about 4:1 contrast, which is thin for a 48dp glyph. It's now flat white on flat black — roughly 21:1 — so it stays crisp once the launcher shrinks it.
Changed in the SVG source rather than the exported PNGs, then regenerated with npm run icons, so the vector stays the single point of truth. The source SVGs are now tracked in git too — they weren't before, which meant the icon pipeline couldn't be reproduced from a fresh clone.
The adaptive background colour lives in three places that have to agree (icon-manifest.json, colors.xml, app.json); if they drift, a visible seam appears through the glyph where the knockout stops matching the background. The generator now fails loudly instead of emitting a broken icon.
