🛠️ Overview:

The DCS Static Template Duplicator is a Python script designed to help users duplicate and modify Static Template (STM) files for different theatres in DCS: World. This tool simplifies the process of adapting templates across various terrains, providing a seamless way to replicate templates and easily move units between theatres.

  • Batch File Processing: Select multiple STM files for processing at once.

  • Custom Theatre Duplication: Choose one or more theatres to generate new versions of your templates.

  • GUI for Easy Selection: A user-friendly graphical interface allows you to select the theatres for each duplicated template.

📝 Requirements:

  • Python 3.x installed on your machine.

  • Tkinter for the graphical user interface (usually included with Python).

  • The script is designed for use with smaller DCS: World modular static templates (such as SAM sites, static aircraft displays, and other smaller templates).

⚙️ Installation:

  1. Clone or Download the repository to your local machine.

  2. Install Python 3.x if you don't have it installed already.

  3. Run the Script:

    • From the terminal, navigate to the folder containing the script.

    • Execute the following command:

      python TemplateDuplicator.v6.py

🧭 Usage:

  1. Select Files: Choose the STM files you want to duplicate.

  2. Select Theatres: Pick the DCS theatres you want to generate templates for (e.g., Afghanistan, Caucasus, etc.).

  3. Save Files: Choose the directory where the newly duplicated templates will be saved.

After running the script, you can load the new template into a different theatre and use the multi-select tool to move units to your desired location in the DCS mission editor.
