CueBook 0.1.0
First public release.
CueBook puts your script on the screen in front of you and sends that same screen to the projector, minus the script. Where the prompter sits on top of a slide, the audience sees the whole slide, not a black hole.
What is in this version
- Mirroring of the presenter display to an audience display, with CueBook's own windows excluded at capture time. Picture Fit chooses fit, fill or stretch when the two displays differ in shape.
- A text-only teleprompter with no background. The box width sets the font size, about 20 Chinese characters per line; the height sets how many lines show.
- Mouse side buttons advance and rewind half the visible lines. While the prompter is shown, they never reach the app underneath.
- Text color in white, black, or Blend with background, which is hard to read from the side or from a distance. Alignment and opacity are adjustable.
- Scripts from
.txtor.md, up to 20,000 characters, in UTF-8 or GB18030. A sample script is built in. - Launch at Login, which starts CueBook but never starts mirroring by itself.
Install
Download the archive below, unzip it, then:
mv CueBook.app /Applications/
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/CueBook.app
open /Applications/CueBook.appBefore the first run
Set your displays to extend, not mirror. CueBook needs Screen Recording to mirror and Accessibility for the side buttons; grant both in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
Requires macOS 26.0 or later. Universal app, Apple Silicon and Intel.
