Changes in this release:

  • Fixed missing logging in release builds
  • Exposed API type storage_backend::Permissions

  • Authentication is no longer needed for the NOOP command (#241)
  • 2x speed improvement for RETR and STOR for filesystem back-end (#243)
  • Fixed an issue where the end port argument to Server.passive_ports were not inclusive in the range.
  • Fixed a couple of cloud storage issues related to LIST (#228, #255)
  • Fixed issue where downloading larger files (8K+) from a GCS bucket failed (#219)
  • The GCS back-end RETR now streams the HTTP response body directly to the client as opposed to reading it into memory first.

Breaking changes:

  • The prototype of the StorageBackend::get method changed to return Result<Box<dyn tokio::io::AsyncRead + Send + Sync + Unpin>> instead of Result<Self::File>. Consequently the Associated Type File on StorageBackend was also removed.
