Group info page not showing names from addressbook

On Groups info page, watsapp shows the name of member from addressbook if it is saved in addressbook. If contact is not in addressbook, it shows contact number along with display name that was provided by that user on installation.

Kibo Chat shows "display name" for all the contacts even if they are in addressbook.

I am not understanding this issue:

1. Dose each client get the Display name of all others? What is the purpose of getting name?
2. During Chat or on Chat List what name are we showing?
3. During Group Chat what name are we showing?

1- Display names are used in Group chat only. We have display names for those members which are part of same group as we are part of. Purpose of getting name is that there might be some of members which were added to group by admin but we dont have them on our addressbook. For such members, on group chat page, it will display "display name" to identify who is talking(or who sent group chat message). Also, display name is shown on group info page as shown in screenshot of watsapp above. 2- In chats and chat list we show names from addressbook if the sender is available in addressbook. 3- In Groups chat, we show name from addressbook if member is in our addressbook. If not, then we show display name.
