🐞 Implement Inactive States In UI

The following UI elements need active states

• toolbar
  • title
  • subtitle
• tab bar
• breadcrumb bar

This can be realized with:

@Environment(\.controlActiveState) private var activeState

// then wherever the color is set:

MyView()
  .foregroundColor(
    activeState == .inactive ? 
      Color(nsColor: .disabledControlTextColor) : your_normal_color
  )

@lukepistrol : What percentage of opacity do you plan to use for inactive state? I am trying 0.5. I think it will be better if we can have same value across all places (including all future implementations).

Update: 0.4 seems to match the Xcode's design.

@lilingxi01 Maybe NSColor has a default inactive color: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nscolor/ui_element_colors

See if any of these work. Otherwise find a opacity that looks like the reference.
