About Qrala

Qrala ➔ (/ˈkjuːˈɑːrˈlɑ/) is an all-in-one tool for creating, reading & modifying QR-Codes.
It allows you for example:

  • to set the colors for the QR-Code,
  • set error correctness
  • or save the created QR-Codes as an image file.

The Menubar

The Menubar has two Menus:

  • The first one 'Qrala' is separated for general settings (Settings) and program information like version, licence, credits and more (About).

  • The second 'File' is separated for file depended operations like save, open, new file.

Custom View

This view is the first view that you see, when you start the program by default.

  • If you open an existing QR-Code the containing information will be shown here.
  • You can also write your own QR-Codes, for example with an URL.
  • If you want to write a new QR-Code, you can use 'File -> New File' in the Menubar.

WIFI View

This view is helps you to create a Wi-Fi QR-Code.
Wi-Fi QR-Codes are a pretty smart way to connect a device like a smartphone with a network.

  • You only need to set the SSID (in the most cases this is the name of the Wi-Fi router) and the related password.
  • Or if your systems uses the current Wi-Fi connection you can try the auto create function on 'Try current'.

VCard View

In this view you can create VCard QR-Codes.
VCards are a kind of virtual business card that contains information like name, telephone number, URL and more.

  • You only need to fill in the information that you want for the VCard QR-Code. (Each Inputbox is optional.)

Creating QR-Codes

To create a QR-Code go to the specific view and fill in the information that the QR-Code should contain and press the 'create Code' - button.

That's it.
