Basketball joins Soccer. Tick Sports and choose 🏀 Basketball: a game's dunks, threes, blocks, steals and game winners each become a clip, with the possession before them and the reaction after. The score bug confirms every basket, and the 9:16 crop follows the ball, the pass and the shot to the rim. It pans with the play and never zooms. The ball is found by the E-BARD detection model, used under CC BY 4.0.
The Marketplace. Install pipelines and plugins that other people build for Clips Kitty, without waiting for an update: pipelines that find the moments, plugins that rate or understand them, and plugins that suggest edits for your clips. 2.1 is the first release that runs plugins; the developer docs show how to write one.
A second colour for the second speaker. Tick Second speaker in another colour in the caption settings, and fix who said what in the clip editor (#126).
YouTube cookies, under Settings → Advanced settings, for when YouTube keeps saying "confirm you're not a bot" (#136). A refusal over one kind of connection is also tried over the other.
The box at the bottom offers to install Gemma 4 when it needs it, instead of a line of small grey text.
Download failures say which yt-dlp produced them, thanks to @chiragjangiir (#134).
Also fixed: new Kick VODs download again instead of reading as deleted (#161); a word you correct in the captions is burned into the clip, in any language (#147); model downloads no longer stop at 100% and do nothing, and quitting during one asks first (#148, #150); a job on an AI model that isn't downloaded stops at once and says so (#149); cloud AI keys save again (#135); a watermark can be added to a clip open in the editor (#137); a clip made with captions off stays without them (#128); processing a video again keeps your edits; captions cover the seconds you add to a clip (#120); and H.265 files no longer fail at transcription (#122).
Downloading
ClipsKitty-Web-Setup-2.1.0.exe: the installer. It fetches the rest on first run.
Windows may show "Windows protected your PC", because the installer is not code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Prefer no installer? The offline .zip is on Hugging Face: unzip it and run Clips Kitty.exe. The large files live there because a GitHub release asset is capped at 2 GiB.
Existing installs update themselves, and Microsoft Store installs update through the Store. You can also install with winget install ColinGPT9.ClipsKitty once winget has the new version.
