Note: Now, labels have their built-in descriptions. This list serves to describe in detail when the built-in description cannot fulfill because of character limits.
Here is a quick description of the Labels that can be applied to issues and how they affect you:
- Enhancement - A suggestion rather than a bug.
-
good first issue - This is an issue that has been approved, but is not likely to receive any attention from CovertJaguar in the near future. Others are welcomed to tackle them and can be fairly confident of them being merged into the codebase. If you wish to tackle an issue that is not labeled as an Open Project, please contact CovertJaguar first to touch base and learn of any concerns or problems with resolving the issue. There are several possible reasons that an issue has not been given the Open Project label, including:
- The Enhancement has not been approved and may be rejected.
- CovertJaguar plans to fix it in the semi-near future. He probably even knows how to resolve it. Whether or not this actually happens is often up to the whims of fate though.
- The issue is complex and needs to be resolved in a specific way.
- This issue may belong to an older version that is not in active development. A version may still be released if there are many bugfixes made by contributors via pull requests.
- Merge Into Dev - Your PR has been approved and has been merged into CovertJaguar's personal dev branch for testing. The PR will be closed when the dev branch gets merged into master for an official release.
- Bug - These are bugs which prevent normal usage of the mod. Any help is welcomed.
- Duplicate - These issues have been reported multiple times.
- Fix In Next Update - The issue has been fixed, but only in CovertJaguar's personal dev branch, it will be merged into master eventually.
- Fixed - The issue is resolved, and probably closed. This label is often forgotten when closing fixed issues.
- Need More Info - The issue is lacking key information or is otherwise not clear. If this is a suggestion issue, please be as specific as possible. If its a bug report, you didn't provide enough information to reproduce or fix the error. Issues that continue to lack info will eventually be discarded.
- Question - These issue are ones where the submitter is asking a question. Once the question is answered they will be closed.
- Mod Compatibility - The issue relates to inter-compatibility between Railcraft and other Minecraft Forge mods. These can include features involving cross-mod recipes and mechanics, or bugs and issues related to other mods caused by Railcraft.
- Needs Verification - Bug reports are often given this tag when first reported. It indicates that this issue hasn't been reproduced and that only a single person has reported seeing it. It also hasn't been proven that the issue isn't the result of a cross-mod interaction. If a report remains unverified for a significant amount of time, it is typically discarded.
- Not Railcraft - These are bugs that are usually caused by interaction from another mod or that are misidentified as a Railcraft issue when really they are not.
- Not a Bug - Working as intended. These issues are not open for discussion usually.
- Can't Fix - Might be a bug, but its either too annoying or impossible to fix.
- Rejected - The issue has been rejected for some reason. These issues are not open for discussion usually.
- Priority-High - These are issues that require immediate attention. They can be game breaking bugs or just the "next big thing".
- Priority-Medium - These are issues that deserve some attention at some point in the future, but are neither game breaking nor exciting.
- Priority-Low - These issues generally only affect a few people, they are neither game breaking nor glamorous.
- Tracks - These issues are related to different types of tracks. They might point out bugs of existing tracks or request to add new tracks, etc.
- Carts - These issues are related to different types of carts. They might point out bugs of existing carts or request to add new carts, etc.
- Configuration - These issues are related to the configuration of Railcraft, either the configuration does not work or suggestion to add new configuration entries, etc.
- Implemented - These issues' solution have been done; however, they are still waiting to get accepted by CovertJaguar.
- Signal and Routing - These issues are related to the signaling and routing systems inside of railcraft. They might point out bugs, feature requests, or enhancements, etc.
