MicroDeck 1.0.0

MicroDeck 1.0.0 is the first full release.

MicroDeck can now update itself: when a new version is out, tap Download and install. It downloads the update from GitHub, checks it against the release's SHA-256 file and checks that it's signed by the same developer, then hands it to Android.

This adds one permission, Install unknown apps (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES), used only to install MicroDeck's own updates. Android asks you once before allowing it and asks you to confirm each update. If you'd rather not allow it, Open in browser downloads the update the old way.

MicroDeck 0.13.0

Each release now carries just two files: MicroDeck.apk and MicroDeck.apk.sha256. Updates download from the release's own page, and you can now install and update MicroDeck with Obtainium (see the README). The README also names PhoneDeck for using MicroDeck on a PC monitor.

The Download button on the update bar now opens straight in your browser, so the GitHub app can't take over the link. Install notes added to the README.

MicroDeck turns your Android phone into a magnifier for soldering and fine work. Pick the macro, main or telephoto lens, zoom, focus by hand or with autofocus, adjust exposure and white balance, turn on a grid overlay, light your work with the torch, and save snapshots to your gallery.

No accounts, no ads, no telemetry. The only network request is the update check against this repository, and you can turn it off on the About screen.

Requires Android 13 or newer. Download MicroDeck.apk below; MicroDeck.apk.sha256 lets you check the download.
