Download the project and open in Unity (>2019.3.7f1). Open the scene called "TreeScene" and press enter play mode. A tree will appear in the scene, spawned in the object called Tree_root.
To generate a new tree, press G.
To change the settings, go to the inspector for Tree_root and change the values.
In the scene view, the armature can be seen on the object called "Armature".
Debug info about the mesh appears in the console after generating a new tree.
