Major Release: Full Modernization, Glassmorphic Streaming Layouts & Windows 11 Dark Slate Desktop Controller

Welcome to v1.1.0 of Crypto90's OBS Now Playing Widget! This release completely overhauls the user experience, styling, web widgets, and architecture to match the design, performance, and automation standards of Crypto90's Workspace Manager and Crypto90's Process Priority Manager.

1. 💎 Glassmorphic Streaming Overlays (Zero CDN Dependencies)

  • 100% Offline & Low Latency: Replaced external Bootstrap 5 CDN dependencies with self-contained Vanilla CSS and embedded vector SVGs. Overlays load instantly and reliably even during offline testing or unstable internet.
  • Three Broadcast-Ready Layouts:
    • Horizontal (Banner): Elegant widescreen layout (640x140) for stream headers and footers.
    • Vertical (Card): Compact album-card layout (320x460) with centered cover art and dynamic ambient drop shadow.
    • Compact (Pill) (New!): Ultra-minimalist pill badge (440x70) designed for corner stream overlays and subtle game HUD integration.
  • Dedicated Direct Endpoints: Access /horizontal, /vertical, or /compact directly so multiple OBS scenes can display different layouts simultaneously.
  • Marquee Auto-Scroll: Long song titles and artist names smoothly marquee rather than awkwardly clipping.
  • 60fps Sub-Second Progress Interpolation: Glides smoothly across seconds without 1-second stutters, accompanied by animated audio visualizer equalizer bars.

2. 🖥️ Windows 11 Fluent Dark Slate GUI

  • Modern Theme: Clean #121418 dark slate palette matching the Crypto90 suite.
  • High-DPI Per-Monitor V2 Awareness: Crisp fonts and coordinates on 4K and mixed-DPI multi-monitor configurations.
  • Live Player Preview: Dynamic album art display, live playback status (▶ Playing, ⏸ Paused, ⏹ Stopped), progress bar, and active source indicator.
  • One-Click URL Copying: Copy localhost or LAN URLs to the clipboard with instant visual confirmation (✓ Copied!).
  • Activity & Diagnostics Console: Embedded terminal log with timestamped colored tags for connection status and media events.

3. 🛡️ Resilient Local Server & Source App Locking

  • Dynamic Port Allocation: Automatically detects if port 5000 is in use (e.g. by AirPlay or Docker) and smoothly falls back to an available open port without crashing.
  • Source App Locking: Lock the widget to a specific music application (e.g. Spotify.exe, AppleMusic, Chrome) so background YouTube videos, Discord audio, or game sound clips never hijack your stream's music display.
  • Safe JSON Storage: Automatically stores user settings in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Crypto90s_OBS_NowPlayingWidget\ with portable fallback.
