PersistentSD v1.1
PersistentSD v1.1
This release focuses on reliability, safer failure handling, and clearer documentation.
What's Changed
- Improved startup reliability: Added periodic retry handling if drive-change event monitoring cannot be registered.
- More resilient drive assignment: Added retry behaviour when drive-change events aren't received.
- Improved installation error handling: Better warnings when task registration succeeds but saving preferences or verifying the script path fails.
- Safer recovery: Improved handling of installation failures and restoration of previous script files.
- Updated documentation: Clarified drive-letter safety, status reporting, backup behaviour, and release instructions.
- Added a Windows testing checklist: Covers installation, removal, startup behaviour, reconnects, and drive-letter assignment scenarios.
- Build validation: Automated PowerShell syntax checks, application compilation, and ZIP packaging through GitHub Actions.
Testing Notes
The application builds successfully, and the UI has been checked. Full Windows validation of installation/removal and real drive-letter assignment, startup, and reconnect behaviour remains outstanding.
