Release list
1.7.0
- Choose when the app locks. A new "Lock automatically" setting locks the app when you leave it, or after 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes without interaction.
- The app lock now counts the time the phone sleeps and the time after leaving the app with back, so the app no longer stays unlocked for hours.
- An open document no longer locks while you wait at a gate.
- If the phone's screen lock was removed after turning on authentication, the lock screen now offers to turn authentication off instead of locking you out.
- Two different barcodes on one page are no longer merged into one.
- Reopening the app from recent apps no longer imports a shared PDF again.
- Errors such as a full disk are no longer reported as a wrong PDF password.
- A failed import no longer leaves a partial file behind, and an interrupted backup restore no longer keeps documents without their tags.
- Barcode scans use less memory when you swipe through many documents.

1.6.0
New
- Faster reopening. The app remembers the barcodes it found in a document, so opening it again after a restart no longer searches every page.
- No duplicate imports. Importing a file that's already in the app opens the existing document instead of adding a copy.
Fixed
- A page that can't be shown now says so instead of loading forever, and a PDF that can't be opened no longer shows a blank screen or crashes the app.
- Large pages, such as A3 tickets, no longer run out of memory on Android 7.
- The document name and menu button are centered below the preview in the grid.
- The selection buttons and messages are translated into all languages.

1.5.0
PDF Wallet Revived is now called PDF Docket. The author of the original PDF Wallet asked for a name and a design that can't be confused with that app. The package ID stays the same, so the app updates as usual and keeps your documents.
New
- Material 3 Expressive design. Settings come in groups with colored icons, and switches show a check or a minus. Menus and dialogs use the new Expressive components, and going back plays the predictive back animation.
- Grid or list. Documents show as a grid of page previews with their tags on top, or as a list. Switch in the ⋮ menu.
- Tag icons. Pick one of 20 icons when you add a tag. The pencil in "Manage tags" opens "Edit tag" to change a tag's name and icon.
- Barcode, PDF or both. A bar at the bottom of a document switches between the barcode, the PDF and split screen.
- Synced split screen. Swiping the barcodes turns the PDF to the barcode's page, and swiping the PDF moves to that page's barcode. The other side follows your finger. Turn it off with "Sync PDF and barcode" in the settings.
- Reopen where you left off. A document opens at the barcode and page you last viewed. This is a setting too, on by default.
- Page dots. Documents with several pages show numbered dots below the page, or a page count when there are too many. "Page numbers" in the settings switches to plain dots.
Changed
- Swipe up and down between documents, and left and right between the pages and barcodes of a document.
- Faster opening. The first barcode shows as soon as its page is scanned, instead of after every page, and each page is searched in parallel.
- The app saves backups as
.pdfdocketfiles. Older backups still restore. - The website is now pdf-docket.d3sox.me, with the F-Droid repository at pdf-docket.d3sox.me/repo. The old addresses redirect.
Full Changelog: v1.4.0...v1.5.0
1.4.0
New
- Select several documents. Long-press a document to start selecting, then tag, share or delete all selected documents at once. (#12)
- "Select all" selects the documents the current filter shows, and Back clears the selection.
- Tagging several documents keeps the tags you didn't change.
- Deleting asks for confirmation first.
Behind the scenes
- The source code no longer uses the original app's package names. Home screen shortcuts and "Open with" keep working. (#11)
Full Changelog: v1.3.0...v1.4.0
1.3.0
Improved
- The screen stays on while a document is open, so your ticket doesn't time out while you wait in line. (#10)
- "100% brightness" only brightens documents. It used to apply to the whole app. Now it applies while a barcode or PDF is shown, also for tickets without a detected barcode, and the brightness goes back to normal when you leave. (#10)
Full Changelog: v1.2.0...v1.3.0
1.2.0
New
- Encrypted backups. "Create backup" in the settings saves all documents with their names, import dates and tags to one password-protected file. "Restore backup" adds the documents from a backup that aren't in the app yet. A wrong password or a damaged file changes nothing. (#9)
- Add to home screen. Pin a document to your home screen from its ⋮ menu to open it with one tap. Renaming the document renames the shortcut. (#9)
- Import several PDFs at once, from the file picker or by sharing them from another app. (#9)
- Complete translations. All 11 languages translate every screen now. This also fixes three wrong translations in Spanish, Greek and Portuguese. (#9)
Fixed
Luchowl fixed these in their fork and let us port the fixes. (#8)
- Importing a PDF left it open in memory.
- Removing the password from a protected PDF wrote into the file while it was still being read. The app now writes a new file and then replaces the original.
- Very large pages could run out of memory, because the size limit was checked only after the image was allocated.
- Opening a document again leaked the previous one.
Full Changelog: v1.1.1...v1.2.0
1.1.1
A packaging release with no changes inside the app.
Fixed
- F-Droid rejected the 1.1.0 APK because it contained dependency metadata that only Google can read. The APK leaves it out now. (#5)
- The app's own F-Droid repository kept offering 1.0.0. It gets new versions again. (#5)
- The store icon has rounded corners, matching how Google Play shows it. (#5)
Full Changelog: v1.1.0...v1.1.1
1.1.0
New
- Split screen. See the barcode and the PDF at the same time, stacked in portrait and side by side in landscape. Turn it on in a document's ⋮ menu or in the Barcodes settings. (#2, resolves #1)
- New name and icon. The app is now called PDF Wallet Revived and has a white wallet on blue as its icon, so it's easy to tell apart from the original. (#3)
- Blue colors. The app and the website use blue, matching the new icon, instead of green. (#4)
Behind the scenes
- Builds are reproducible, so F-Droid can build the app from source and check that it matches the signed APK. (#3)

1.0.0
The first release of this fork. It continues the last open source version of PDF Wallet, which its author archived before continuing the app as the proprietary PDFWallet Vault (original repository).
New
- New interface built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3. The document list has thumbnails, search, sorting and tag filters, and a document opens to its barcode or its PDF.
- Pro features are free. Tags, tag filters, inverted PDF colors in dark mode, a forced light or dark theme and half-size barcodes no longer need an in-app purchase.
- Use system colors. On Android 12 and later, the app can take its colors from your wallpaper.
Fixed
- A page with several barcodes showed only the first one. Now it shows all of them, and the ticket's code comes before advertising QR codes.
Good to know
- The app installs next to the original PDF Wallet instead of replacing it. Documents don't move over, so import your PDFs again.
- It needs Android 7.0 or later.
