Installation

New Installation

Download Share_Manager.ps1 and run:

Upgrade from V2.1.1

✅ Automatic upgrade - Just run the new script

  • Existing shares.json remains valid
  • All features preserved
  • Safe to rollback (data format unchanged)

Requirements

  • Windows PowerShell 5.1+ or PowerShell 7+
  • Windows 10/11 or Windows Server 2016+
  • No administrator privileges required

None - Fully backward compatible with V2.1.1

Known Issues

  • DPAPI Limitation (Windows design, not a bug):
    • Credentials encrypted on Machine A won't decrypt on Machine B
    • Solution: Use new credential prompting feature when connecting shares
  • Windows 11 25H2+: WMIC removed (AutoMap script already updated)
