Wave Monitor
-
The waves page serves as the wave monitor and is the starting point for managing waves. On this wave the you will select the date which is defaulted to the current date when opening the screen. You will then create a wave which will prompt you to select one of the wave configurations i.e. do you wan to create a wave for wave 1, 2, or 3 etc.

Open Wave monitor from Business Data

- Create wave : the create button allows you to select the Wave Configuration to use to create a wave instance for the selected delivery date. When creating the wave, the system will query all the Route Configurations for the wave and then create instances of the routes for this wave. Lastly go through all the routes and query all the sales orders that are on the specific wave and route. N.B. keep in mind that the sales order will be linked to a route and wave configuration and when it is imported into the system via the Import API. Hence, the system will already know which wave and route a sales order belongs, but at this step we are simply create a wave and route instance (container) to group sales orders.
