Caide v0.5.4
App inspection moves to the Preview console, run status ticks live, and the chat shell keeps the transcript as the only scroll surface.
Download the newest build for your platform from caide.us/install.
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| macOS (Apple Silicon) | Caide-mac-arm64.dmg |
| macOS (Intel) | Caide-mac-x64.dmg |
| Linux (x64) | Caide-linux-x64.AppImage |
| Windows (x64) | Caide-windows-x64.exe |
What's new since v0.5.3
- Preview and browser are separate: browser tools refuse the preview origin, app inspection routes through the Preview console, and the agent prompt explains the split.
- Live run status: active time ticks between server updates, and the long-run strip stays hidden on ordinary first segments.
- Composer activity toggle: show or hide the run and to-do panels from the composer footer, with todos reconciled at turn end.
- Viewport-clipped chat shell: only the transcript scrolls, so the composer and rails stay put.
- Thread restore: a cold start returns to the most recently used thread instead of a skeleton draft.
macOS builds are ad-hoc signed (right-click > Open the first time). Windows builds are not yet Azure Trusted Signed; choose More info > Run anyway if SmartScreen appears.
Free BYOK forever. Caide Agent is the optional $2/month hosted agent, powered by OpenCode Console.
Caide v0.5.3
Streaming replies parse markdown incrementally, and decorative animations stop painting when nobody can see them.
Download the newest build for your platform from caide.us/install.
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| macOS (Apple Silicon) | Caide-mac-arm64.dmg |
| macOS (Intel) | Caide-mac-x64.dmg |
| Linux (x64) | Caide-linux-x64.AppImage |
| Windows (x64) | Caide-windows-x64.exe |
What's new since v0.5.2
- Incremental markdown: a streaming reply reuses the completed prefix instead of reparsing the whole message on every commit.
- Visibility-gated animations: spinners, skeletons, and loading indicators only animate while on screen, while the window is visible, and when reduced motion allows it.
- Quieter idle: an off-screen chat no longer keeps the renderer painting at display rate.
- Smooth streamed text keeps its pacing without keeping the GPU awake off screen.
macOS builds are ad-hoc signed (right-click > Open the first time). Windows builds are not yet Azure Trusted Signed; choose More info > Run anyway if SmartScreen appears.
Free BYOK forever. Caide Agent is the optional $2/month hosted agent, powered by OpenCode Console.
Caide v0.5.2
Worktree-aware project panes, a canonical project root through every turn, and one shared release history.
Download the newest build for your platform from caide.us/install.
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| macOS (Apple Silicon) | Caide-mac-arm64.dmg |
| macOS (Intel) | Caide-mac-x64.dmg |
| Linux (x64) | Caide-linux-x64.AppImage |
| Windows (x64) | Caide-windows-x64.exe |
What's new since v0.5.1
- Project panes resolve against the active worktree and stay safe while the agent edits files.
- Turns carry the canonical project root, so tools, previews, and the right dock agree on where the project lives.
- The desktop release history now projects the shared changelog, so What's New matches the marketing site.
- Account details moved into a sidebar profile popover.
- Checkout buttons show a pending state and reject double submits.
Signing is still in progress: macOS builds are ad-hoc signed (right-click > Open the first time), and Windows builds are not yet Azure Trusted Signed (choose More info > Run anyway if SmartScreen appears). Apple notarization lands with the next signing milestone.

Caide v0.5.1
Long-running agent segments, a single plan-accept path, and one pinned context window per model.
Download the newest build for your platform from caide.us/install.
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| macOS (Apple Silicon) | Caide-mac-arm64.dmg |
| macOS (Intel) | Caide-mac-x64.dmg |
| Linux (x64) | Caide-linux-x64.AppImage |
| Windows (x64) | Caide-windows-x64.exe |
What's new since v0.5.0
- Long-running tasks now execute as checkpointed segments, resume from the newest todo rows instead of a stale snapshot, and repeat compaction while keeping long-run state clean.
- Plan mode has a single accept path: the gate clears when the plan turn ends, the accepted plan stays in the dock, and the workspace save action is hidden without a root.
- Context windows resolve once per model and stay pinned for the whole turn; Caide Agent is pinned to a 1M-token window.
- Accounts gained explicit 30-day and permanent access grants, correct expired-pass status in the admin list, and cleanup of exhausted passes on legacy paid upgrades.
- macOS builds are ad-hoc signed, so they open with the standard right-click > Open path instead of reporting the app as damaged.
Signing is still in progress: Windows builds are not yet signed with Azure Trusted Signing (choose More info > Run anyway if SmartScreen appears), and Apple notarization lands with the next signing milestone.
