Windows 1.0.22
Neu
Kodi / LibreELEC – Add-on 0.4.4
Neu
- Widget-Add-on und Offline-Installer in 12 Sprachen.
- Lizenzhinweise in jeder ZIP.
Behoben

Windows 1.0.22
New
- Third-party licences under General → Advanced: open-source software and adapted code with licence and copyright notice. Setup and portable ZIP include the licence notices.
- Damaged settings: if the settings file cannot be read, SKZ Connect keeps a copy before saving again and reports this at startup – also when only the last backup could be loaded. Clicking the message shows the file. Single unknown values, for example from a newer version, no longer discard the whole file.
- Language and appearance: "Automatic" follows the Windows display language. A new setup or an update no longer overwrites the language and appearance chosen in the app. The guide in the program folder is installed in the setup language (German, otherwise English).
- Quick guide and previously missing messages in all 12 languages (some were German or English only).
- Kodi on this PC: if Kodi or the SKZ Connect add-on is installed after SKZ Connect, SKZ Connect no longer needs a restart. Kodi shows the Bluetooth state in more detail (off, no adapter, no Bluetooth LE) and learns when SKZ Connect exits.
- The app runs on .NET 10 and still includes the runtime. .NET 8 gets no security updates after 10 Nov 2026.
- Diagnostics export and log include the ViGEmBus and HidHide versions.
Fixed
- With the "DualShock 4" output, SKZ Connect took its own virtual controllers for real ones, adding players until all eight slots were taken (#1).
- Hiding with HidHide failed without a message when its scheduled task was missing (for example in the portable version). Windows now asks for administrator rights; the message tells a declined prompt apart from an error.
- PlayStation controllers: when the Bluetooth transmission stalled, rumble arrived late. Disconnecting stops any running rumble.
- Switch 1 controllers: a single transmission error turned rumble off until reconnecting. A faulty motion calibration in the controller could pin a gyro axis at its limit; factory values now apply in that case.
- When all eight player slots are taken, the message appears only once per controller.
- During a Bluetooth problem, the notification-area menu still lists the players.
- The desktop widget showed "Profile:" without a name when "Default" was selected explicitly.
- Setup: users who entered a different account at the administrator prompt did not get their language and appearance, and a silent update reset the appearance to dark. Uninstalling now removes the autostart entry for every user whose entry points to this installation.
- Minor memory leaks in the user interface.
Android – beta 0.9.1
New
- Per-game profiles: SKZ Connect detects the app in the foreground and switches to its profile. The game is picked from an app list; each profile has its own button mapping per controller type and macros.
- Gyro for emulators (DSU): motion and buttons for emulators on the same device.
- Quick settings tile and Start with Android.
- Check for updates: downloads the new version from GitHub, verifies it and starts the installation.
- Battery warning at 15 % and 5 %.
- Kodi on the same device shows the controllers (with Kodi add-on 0.4.4).
- Licences in the help; a notice when the settings were damaged.
- The help makes clear that SKZ Connect for Android supports Switch 2 controllers only. Older Switch controllers and clones pair directly in Android's Bluetooth settings; usually only buttons and sticks work then (#1).
Fixed
- Hangs caused by constant scanning: the app scans fast only briefly after start, after Bluetooth is turned on and after a disconnect, then in power-saving mode.
- Controllers paired with Android were reported as "connected to another device".
- Android 8 and 9: the profile manager crashed.
- Tile and autostart check permissions before starting the service; the tile sometimes showed the wrong state.
- After connection errors the app waits increasingly longer instead of retrying every second.
Kodi / LibreELEC – add-on 0.4.4
New
- Kodi on Windows, Android and macOS: settings that only take effect on LibreELEC are locked and explained, with a separate quick guide. On Android, the display needs SKZ Connect for Android 0.9.1 or later; on macOS the add-on only displays.
- If Bluetooth is off, no adapter is present or it lacks Bluetooth LE, a hint for the respective system appears; the controller list stays visible.
- Widget add-on and offline installer in 12 languages.
- Licence notices in every ZIP.
Fixed
- A failed disconnect or forget blocked the menu commands until restart.
- An abort while connecting could leave a controller shown as connected.
- Memory leaks during long uptime.
- On systems with 32-bit programs and a 64-bit kernel, the service did not start and showed no message. The add-on now picks the matching build and reports start errors.
- After Kodi crashed, the old service kept running. It is now stopped, and the service ends with Kodi.
- If the port for gyro to emulators (DSU) is busy at startup, the service tries again.
- Disconnecting during radio interference hung until the connection timeout.
Only the Raspberry Pi 4 with LibreELEC 12.2.1 has been tested on real hardware.
