New: control Tapdeck from Terminal, scripts and Chrome

Every tool can now be read and switched from outside Control Center, with no server running and no port open.

The tapdeck command

/Applications/Tapdeck.app/Contents/MacOS/Tapdeck install-cli # once
tapdeck status --json
tapdeck mic toggle
tapdeck awake on
tapdeck lights out

Works from Terminal, scripts, Raycast, the Shortcuts app and AI coding agents. --json output and clear exit codes make it easy to script.

Chrome extension (tapdeck-chrome-extension.zip below)

A popup with the live state of Mic Mute, Stay Awake and Lights Out, a red MUTE badge while the mic is muted, and Alt+Shift+M to toggle the mic. It talks to Tapdeck through Chrome's native messaging: Chrome starts Tapdeck for each message and Tapdeck exits right after. Also works in Brave, Edge, Arc, Vivaldi and Chromium.

  1. Update Tapdeck from Tapdeck.dmg below.
  2. Run /Applications/Tapdeck.app/Contents/MacOS/Tapdeck chrome install.
  3. Unzip the extension, then in chrome://extensions turn on Developer mode and Load unpacked.
