This tells VVV how to install the Dexerto WordPress project and set up Nginx.
This template will allow you to create the Dexerto WordPress dev environment using only config/config.yml
.
The Nginx configuration for this site can be overriden by creating a provision/vvv-nginx-custom.conf
.
- Install and set up homebrew.
- In the terminal type the following commands:
brew install parallels
brew install vagrant
- Open up parallels and sign up to a pro or business account.
- Follow the vvv installation instructions.
- Once the vvv-local file is installed, navigate to vvv-local/config/config.yml.
- Add the following lines into where the sites are located:

- WARNING indentation is critical for yaml files.
- In the terminal navigate to vvv-local/www/dexerto/public_html.
- Type the following command
vagrant plugin install vagrant-parallels
. - Add an auth.json file to vvv-local/www/dexerto/public_html with the correct keys.
- Type
vagrant up
- Warning any changes made to the vagrant config must be followed by
vagrant reload --provision
- The following file vvv-local/www/dexerto/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/000-boxuk-init.php line 17-19 may contain code that breaks the provisioner, comment this out and run
vagrant reload --provision
.
