Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.3
Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.3
New users: download the Switch save ZIP first. The editor runs inside
Seedsow on your console. The Windows companion is an optional separate download.
Preparation firmware checkpoint: use 23.0.1 on both consoles while it is
the current firmware (checked 2026-10-27). If a newer firmware appears, stop
before updating and check the installation guide for updated project advice.
The future FS preparation path can change even if the Lua editor keeps working.
1. Switch download: Seedsow-Lua-Editor-Save.zip
This is an already-built game save, ready to restore with JKSV. You do not
need Python, a build step or a Raspberry Pi for the initial installation.
Use sysNAND/sysMMC, not emuNAND/emuMMC. Download the game and transfer the save
in stock mode. Only JKSV backup/restore needs CFW on that same sysNAND; stock and
CFW sysNAND share saves, while emuNAND has separate saves.
- Use a hacked Switch 1 that can run JKSV and complete Nintendo's official save
transfer. Your Switch 2 does not need to be hacked. - In stock sysMMC on Switch 1, make an in-game save and close Seedsow.
- Boot CFW on that same sysMMC for JKSV backup/restore of
Seedsow-Lua-Editor-Save.zip, then return to stock sysMMC and load slot 1. - Transfer that user's game save to Switch 2 using the same Nintendo Account.
- Load the editor, fully close and restart Seedsow, then load it again.
If you only want the editor installed for later, stop here and keep a backup.
Use the controller character grid or a wired USB keyboard to edit on the console.
The installed editor needs no Nintendo connection. The initial official save
transfer does require Nintendo connectivity and account verification.
Nearby/local transfer works with the demo on both consoles: no full game or
NSO membership is needed, but both consoles must connect to Nintendo's servers.
The guide also lists the NSO cloud-backup alternative, reported working from
the demo or full game on Switch 1 to the full game on Switch 2. Cloud
transfer requires the full game on the target and an NSO membership. This route
is a user report, not an independently reproduced maintainer test.
The prepared save opens the current editor directly in slot 1. Slot 2 is
the optional upload receiver; slot 3 is a backup of the current editor. Programs
use slots 4-120. No slot-30 setup is needed for a fresh installation.
2. Optional PC download: Seedsow-PC-Companion-and-Source-0.1.3.zip
Extract this ZIP on your computer. Open START WINDOWS.cmd for the Windows
companion; Python 3.10+ with Tcl/Tk is required. The bundle also contains Lua
source, development tools, documentation and the optional Raspberry Pi bridge.
Use it for PC/Pi uploads or to build an editor update for your retained base.
It is not a Switch save: do not restore it with JKSV. Older releases called this
bundle seedsow-lua-editor-VERSION.zip. GitHub's automatic Source code
archives are for development and are also not console saves.
Already installed? Keep your save and update from the console
Do not restore the starter over programs you want to keep. A compatible editor
update is an ordinary Lua file, built for a particular fresh user slot. Keep
recovery slots 1-3 and your last working editor.
- Wired USB keyboard: enter the update source with Keyboard + in chunks,
then Save + publish and load its matching slot. - Controller only: enter the same source with the on-screen grid and publish.
This works without a Pi but takes substantial manual entry. - Optional PC/Pi: upload the Lua file into the matching fresh slot, wait for
PC FILE SAVED, then load it. - JKSV restore: a complete update save ZIP replaces the console save with
that ZIP's contents. Back up first; programs absent from it will not be kept.
Update methods, obtaining the Lua file, and recovery
The current editor adds tap-to-position, a selectable code window for D-pad
cursor movement, line movement, independent scrolling and a visible insertion
cursor. A left-edge line is light on hover/focus and black while selected; B
leaves cursor mode. Ordinary controller aliases work without mandatory calibration. It uses
directly editable Lua modules and separate settings/reports. Automated checks
cover editing, publication, restart, reconstruction failure and startup recovery.
The current fresh-save build was reported working on console on 2026-10-27.
Detailed feature coverage was not recorded; fresh PC/Pi installation and
alongside-update hardware trials remain pending.
The tested reference is demo 1.0.0 from the US eShop on Switch 1 and Switch 2.
Japanese demo, EU demo and US full-game working cases are user reports; see
compatibility evidence.
Project-owned code and documentation use 0BSD with no credit required. Built
with AI assistance and console testing. No broader Artemis exploit is confirmed.
ZIP downloads include SHA-256 files and manifests; neither is another installer.
Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.2
Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.2
Maintenance release: existing users do not need to reinstall, restore a save,
or update the console editor. The prepared save ZIP is byte-identical to 0.1.1.
This release updates the companion/source bundle, installation guidance and
repository organization. Do not overwrite an existing save containing programs
you want to keep.
Changes include clearer prebuilt-save installation, corrected account/networking
and compatibility guidance, console screenshots, and 0BSD licensing (no credit
required for project-owned code and documentation). General save tools remain
accessible; original starter validation and release infrastructure are separated
under maintainer/. Other game editions still need compatibility testing.
Main download: Seedsow-Lua-Editor-Save.zip
The save is already built. Download it, restore it on a modded/hacked Switch 1
using JKSV, then transfer the game's save to Switch 2. No Python, compiling,
save building or Raspberry Pi is required for the initial setup.
A modded/hacked Switch 1 with homebrew is required for the initial restore.
Your Switch 2 does not need to be modded. The beginner guide covers installing
JKSV, making a backup, copying the ready-made ZIP, restoring it and transferring.
Step-by-step installation guide
If you only want to future-proof, get the save onto Switch 2 and confirm it
loads after restarting the game. Everything else can wait. Keep the game, save,
recovery slots and a backup intact.
The ready-made starter contains the editor, recovery entries and two examples.
Personal account identifiers, calibration, reports, sessions and personal
programs are excluded. Portable JKSV restore metadata has blank personal fields.
Tested reference: Seedsow Lullaby demo 1.0.0 from the US eShop. Other regional
demos, the full game and other versions remain untested, not proven incompatible.
The matching Nintendo Account is required for the save users in the official
transfer, not inherently for downloading the demo. Both consoles need Nintendo
connectivity for that initial transfer; blocking Nintendo servers beforehand can
prevent it. The documented source is online-capable sysNAND/sysMMC; an isolated
emuMMC normally blocks those servers. This is a workflow choice, not a physical
NAND restriction of the transfer feature, and CFW on sysNAND is not ban-proof.
Running the installed editor afterward requires no Nintendo connection.
Optional download: seedsow-lua-editor-0.1.2.zip
This is the PC companion and source bundle. Download it if you want the optional
Pi uploader, development tools or later update-building tools. The installed
console editor works with its controller/character grid or a wired USB keyboard
without any of those extras.
Windows and Raspberry Pi describe the implemented uploader, not a fundamental
Lua runtime requirement. General save tools remain in tools/ and editor/;
reviewed-starter and release infrastructure is in maintainer/.
Vibecoded: built with AI assistance and hands-on console testing. The core
editor/save/restart flow has real-console results, including Switch 2. The new
PC/Pi packaging and alongside-editor update still need a fresh hardware trial.
An Artemis-based route to a broader exploit has not been confirmed by this
project. Installing the editor does not guarantee that a future exploit path
will work or become available.
Both downloads include SHA-256 checksum files and file manifests. If you already
have the editor installed, keep your existing save and programs; do not restore
the starter over them.

Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.0
Seedsow Lua Editor 0.1.0
A standalone Lua editor inside Seedsow Lullaby, with text/hex editing, wired
keyboard input, persistent program slots and recovery copies.
Vibecoded: built with AI assistance and hands-on console testing. Expect
rough edges.
Install first; do the rest later
Download seedsow-lua-editor-0.1.0.zip and read its README. First build the
editor save from your compatible backup, restore it on an original Switch
using a save manager, then use Nintendo's individual-save transfer to move it
to Switch 2. The package includes the step-by-step installation guide.
Once the editor and a saved program load after a restart, ordinary editing,
saving and running happen on Switch 2. Keep the game, save and recovery slots
intact, and retain a backup. You can add compatible updates later.
A Pi is optional
The controller/character grid or a wired USB keyboard is enough to use the
installed editor. If you have a Raspberry Pi, the included Windows app and
Pi bridge provide a convenient way to upload larger files without typing
them on the console. You can set that up whenever you want.
Download contents
- Console Lua editor and installation-save builder.
- Optional Windows companion and Raspberry Pi controller bridge.
- Guides for installation, manual editing, uploads, later updates and recovery.
- Source and local checks. Python 3.10+ with Tcl/Tk runs the Windows tool.
This source package contains no personal backups or connection credentials.
Installation ZIPs are generated locally from the owner's compatible save.
Supported game build: Seedsow Lullaby US demo 1.0.0.
The core editing/upload/save/restart flow has real-console results, including
Switch 2. The new PC/Pi packaging and alongside-editor update still need a
fresh hardware trial. Checksums and a file manifest accompany the download.
