Looks good at a glance!
Could I bother you to add a line about this in package.json? Since that's where I stash all the tricks and shortcuts. Running this is dead simple so it's more about not forgetting that it exists.
Something like "backup-db": "perl ./script/backup", in the scripts section would be swell.
