0.13.0 — task workspaces and connected real places
Pre-releaseWindows portable application
Download SimplePZMapmaker-0.13.0-win-x64.zip, extract it to a writable folder and run Start.cmd. The Web editor, headless CLI and .NET runtime are included. Point the editor at your installed Project Zomboid Build 42 to use game resources. SHA256SUMS.txt contains the portable download checksum.
What changed
- Task workspaces: Create, Edit map and Check & export share one project, with contextual tools, a consolidated inspector/layers panel, building library search and an interactive guide.
- Connected real places: choose an area, review its exact section layout, import terrain/buildings and compile a native mod. Expanded approval preserves area and scale instead of forcing a smaller selection.
- Incremental world assembly: new section imports stage terrain on disk, reconcile seam buildings and fences, validate projected sections and publish atomically. Layouts support up to 65,536 sections/cells within separate source, object and coordinate budgets.
- Detailed terrain: forests and water use active-edge scanlines, retaining exact source geometry and holes while avoiding false complexity rejections. Prepared sources can be rebuilt without another download. Dense evidence validation avoids repeatedly inferring the format from the whole map for every source record.
- Local tools: offline saved geographic sources, real-place/survey references, transport authoring, Project Doctor, building exchange, reviewed agent assets and the CLI are included.
- Project presentation: refreshed README, workspace screenshot, original folded-map logo and an animated workflow illustration. Guides and branding also ship inside the ZIP.
Checked
1,016 C# and 511 JavaScript checks passed, alongside fresh browser workflows and a portable-ZIP startup with no installed game/shared .NET. The extracted CLI built a strict two-section native scene and passed source/seam validation. A sparse offline 15,552-cell / 972-section world was imported and sampled at 1 metre per tile; this does not establish dense-city memory usage.
This remains a prerelease. Complete-world compatibility JSON is limited to 128 MB; source/CLI/refresh budgets are independent. Native export structure is checked, but client gameplay verification remains pending. See README and verification status for feature-specific limits.
Build provenance
The portable archive was built and verified by GitHub Actions run 40950204766. Its tested merge tree is identical to the release commit (ecf8fe743874e01ff046836873c8ddefffc4f2a2); the binaries retain the CI checkout revision in their informational version.
