QuillSail 1.14.0 Beta
Fresh desktop and server publications can now connect Outlook/Microsoft 365 by signing in, without entering an application ID or secret. The confidential Microsoft secret stays on the website backend; each publication encrypts its own connection and sends messages directly to Microsoft Graph.
Update QuillSail, then open Settings → Email → Connect Outlook. PKCE, a confirmed HTTPS callback and provider/application/tenant/token-bound refresh proofs protect the shared flow. Only delegated Mail.Send, User.Read and basic/offline sign-in permissions are requested. Custom Outlook applications and SMTP remain available. Microsoft account-type settings and organization consent policies still determine which accounts may authorize the maintained app.
Validation: 569 application tests and 183 website tests passed locally; all 16 PR checks passed, including server databases, containers and four native desktop platforms. No real email was sent during validation. Live discovery and the Microsoft account picker were checked; these checks do not claim real mailbox consent or delivery. Gmail retains its separate Google activation/publishing requirements.

QuillSail 1.12.1 Beta
Cloudflare sign-in is ready on fresh desktop and server publications: open Domain → Sign in with Cloudflare, authorize your account, and choose your domain. Users no longer need to register an OAuth app or enter its client ID and callback URL. The shared app registration is public and its domain is verified; API tokens remain available as a backup.
The website publishes public client metadata over HTTPS. Each publication generates its own PKCE verifier and keeps its encrypted access and refresh tokens. No shared client secret is distributed. Existing custom app registrations remain supported under the advanced settings.

QuillSail 1.12.0 Beta
Connect a public domain from Dashboard → Domain using Cloudflare OAuth with PKCE and refresh access. API tokens remain available as a backup. Desktop public traffic uses a separate listener that keeps administration private.
This version adds launching-soon pages, administrator launch controls, automated DNS/HTTPS checks, resumable tunnels, optional sleep inhibition and conservative SPF/DKIM/DMARC management. Existing publications remain live after upgrading.
Operators configure their registered Cloudflare client ID and HTTPS relay before signing in. Offline fallback requires confirmed Cloudflare quota fail-open support and otherwise refuses activation. Hosting setup and limitations.
Implemented in PR #23 for Issue #5. Python 3.11–3.14, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, packaging, Docker and website CI passed before publication.

QuillSail 1.11.0 Beta
What's new
- Transfer a public blog article's full text to another QuillSail newsletter, then review it and submit a separate creator-written newsletter blurb.
- Newsletter editors can choose the full article, the creator's blurb and link, or their own custom summary for each issue's web and HTML/plain-text email versions.
- Preserve review, source attribution, permissions and restricted-content protection. Relative article links and images resolve against the original post.
- Document the issue → contributor branch → pull request → rebase → merge → release workflow with a contributor placeholder.
Full-text browser transfer and creator blurbs require 1.11.0 or later on both sites. Manual pasting remains available when JavaScript or browser session storage is unavailable. Existing articles keep their content; migration 0006 adds an empty newsletter blurb.

- Delete Default publication and running instances owned by the launcher with Stop and delete.
- Finish background work and stop the selected instance before removing it. Cancelling leaves it running; keeping files remains the default.
- Show Create or add an instance after deleting the last publication, and preserve the empty list across restarts.
- Create or register a replacement, check for updates, and quit normally from the empty launcher.
