What''s new
SQLite Protocol — local-first storage levelled up
Kairo Desktop now stores your twin data in a real SQLite database (kairo.db in your app data folder), not just browser localStorage:
- Faster — sub-millisecond reads, even with thousands of events
- Crash-safe — WAL journaling means a sudden shutdown never corrupts your data
- Future-ready — indexed queries are now possible for the heavy pages (Knowledge Graph, Mistake Analysis at scale)
- Migration is automatic — first time you open v1.0.6, your existing localStorage data is silently copied into SQLite
Better fallbacks when AI is busy
- The Solver already had Wikipedia fallback — now it''s extended to every AI feature in Kairo (Notebook, Chat, BattleMode). When models are rate-limited, you still get useful answers instead of error screens.
