The placeholder API can be used to customize player names. It is a soft dependency of the auction house plugin such that player names are displayed correctly on auctioned items. It is completely optional; only compatibility has been added. You can download Placeholder API here.
If you want to translate the whole auction house plugin into another language, there are a few things to consider:
- You can customize every message a player sees in-game through the messages.yml file. The entire file has already been translated into a few languages. They can be found in the discord server in the channel called #resources. If you are up to the task to translate the plugin into a new language, please feel free to share it there so other people can use it too.
- The auction house has also a search function for items in the ah. By default, on every minecraft server, the item material names are in English. When a client uses another language, every item material is translated on the client-side. If you want every player to be able to search for item names as they appear for them, you can add the Locale-API plugin to your server. This plugin can detect the local language of any client and translate all item material names to that language. You can download Locale API here.
Since version 1.5.6 of this plugin it is possible to send a discord message whenever a new auction listing is created in-game. This message embed even contains an image of the item that is being sold. It is possible thanks to the InteractiveChat DiscordSRV Addon. You can download it here. That plugin in return has three other dependencies that need to be added to the server: Interactive Chat, Placeholder API, Discord SRV.
In order to set up the discord bot, you need to configure Discord SRV. A documentation on how to do that can be found here.
Once you have added the bot token to the config.yml file of Discord SRV, you have to add a channel called "auctionhouseElaineQheartNewAuctions" with the respective discord channel id under "Channels:" in the same file. That channel will be used to send discord messages whenever a player creates a new auction. This channel name can even be customized in the messages.yml file (why would you need that? idk, the option exists) under "new-listing-channel-name". In the messages.yml file you can also change the title of the discord message; that is "BID Auction >> 1.0B coins" in the images below.
Here you can see some examples of how the discord messages look by default. The title "Auction >> 1.0 coins" is customizable in the messages.yml file under "new-bin-auction-title". BID auctions have their own title under "new-bid-auction-title".
