People entering hospitals need some kind everyday need some kind of blood transfusion. Transfusions are needed to replace the blood of those suffering from cancer or other blood diseases and replenish blood lost in serious accidents. Once blood is collected, it needs to be preserved. As per the reports from Asia and Africa, there is a wastage of 20 % of blood collected. This happens due to incorrect procedures in transportation and storage. Currently there are no proper audits.
