This release focuses on scale, responsiveness, and deeper everyday Git workflows, with major performance work across the commit graph, large diffs, conflict resolution, refs, and working tree status, alongside a solid set of new repository tools.
Highlights
- Added sparse checkout management, detached tag checkout, remote tag deletion, branch-from-stash recovery, and commit archive export.
- Replaced DiffPlex with a lower-allocation native diff engine.
- Significantly improved large diff and conflict performance through compression, virtualization, cache reuse, and lower-allocation rendering paths.
- Added native commit search by author and date, with ref-scoped search and bounded ref suggestions.
- Added multi-commit graph operations, including compare and patch-series export.
- Persisted the versioned Git cache across launches and continued a broad pass on commit-graph, refs, status, and working-tree performance.

- Reduced repeated refs, remote-status, working-tree, and warm-activation work across repository surfaces.
- Reduced duplicate working-tree notifications and moved process-memory sampling off the interaction path.
- Kept the Git test suite under one minute and reduced Git integration test setup costs.
