Version - 1.2.1
Makes enum-typed response fields tolerant of values the server sends that this
SDK version does not yet list.
Changed
-
Response enum fields are now open. A value the API returns that is not in
this SDK's generated enum list (for example a newsourceResolutiontier or a
newstatus) is preserved as the rawStringinstead of raising and failing
the whole response. Known values still decode to their typed enum member, and
an absent optional field staysnil. Affects the enum fields returned by
manage_videos(get_media,list_media,updated_media,
updated_source_access,updated_mp4_support,get_media_clips,
list_live_clips, track add/update/generate, direct-upload create/list/cancel),
playbackplayback-ID responses, andplaylist.get_playlist_by_id.A response enum field can therefore be either the enum member or a
String.
Guard before calling enum-only methods:r = media.source_resolution r.respond_to?(:serialize) ? r.serialize : r # String when the value is unknown
-
Request and input models are unchanged — their enum fields still accept only
known members, so typos are caught before a request is sent.
