This is Kotor 1 Archipelago Randomization Wiki

Knights of the Old Republic is a single-player Star Wars RPG, and this world turns it into an Archipelago randomizer. Your quests, planets and companions stay as they are, but the rewards are shuffled into the multiworld. When you finish a quest, visit a new area, recruit a companion or hit a milestone like a level or alignment threshold, you send out a “check”. That check can hold an item for you or for another player. In return, other players’ checks can give you gear, skills, feats, Force powers, ability increases, credits and experience.

You pick a goal in your settings. You can defeat Malak, reach a target level, reach the extreme of light or dark side, or reach the Leviathan. You also choose how much to change. Optional modes make companions into items you earn, randomize which doors lead where, change your starting class (including playing as a droid), add vendor passes or traps, and add extra enemies with kill-count bounties.

The optional Progression System is the main way the multiworld controls the pace. Each planet has three story items, and key story moments stay closed until you hold enough of them. For example, you need Taris items before you can leave Taris, then Dantooine items to move on. Once you have the four open worlds you reach the Unknown World, then the Star Forge. A closed moment tells you what you are missing. The items can be found anywhere in the multiworld, so a friend’s game might be holding the thing you need to continue.

To play, you need your own copy of KOTOR 1 on PC (Steam) and the mod’s installer. You play the normal game while a small program (the client) connects to the Archipelago server in the background. The client delivers your items and reports your checks. The setup guide is on the project’s GitHub page.
