Description
Has your issue been reported?
- I have searched the existing issues and confirm it has not been reported.
- I give permission for members of the FlutterFlow team to access and test my project for the sole purpose of investigating this issue.
Current Behavior
When attempting to use the Splash Screen feature in my FlutterFlow Linkup project, an error message is displayed: "Because linkup depends on flutter_native_splash 2.3.1 which depends on image ^4.0.17, image ^4.0.17 is required. So, because linkup depends on image 4.0.15, version solving failed." This error prevents the project from building and affects the functionality of the app.
Expected Behavior
When using the Splash Screen feature in my FlutterFlow project, the app should build successfully without any dependency conflicts whether the project is new or old, and the new Splash Screen update should work as intended.
Steps to Reproduce
I open my linkup FlutterFlow project or older projects that does not use the Splash Screen feature.
Go to the FlutterFlow editor and navigate to the Splash Screen section.
Add an asset for the Splash Screen and configure its settings.
Save the changes and try to build the project.
Observe the error message mentioned in the "Current Behavior" section.
Reproducible from Blank
- The steps to reproduce above start from a blank project.
Bug Report Code (Required)
It is a build error*
Context
This issue has affected me as a FlutterFlow user, especially when I wanted to enhance the user experience by adding a Splash Screen to my older project. The conflict between the dependencies prevented the project from building successfully, hindering my ability to release updates to the app. I expect the FlutterFlow team to address this issue promptly, as it limits the use of a valuable feature in existing projects and disrupts development progress.
