FoxFW-v2.0.13
FoxFW2.0 v2.0.13
This release focuses on Sub-GHz car remotes and memory stability: a reworked remote-transmit flow with far fewer false IDs, a long-hunted heap-fragmentation fix so your largest free memory block recovers after connecting qFlipper, new protocols synced from upstream, ProtoPirate v4, a complete Fox-logo refresh across the firmware, and the first (experimental) keyfob-firmware emulators.
New
- More protocols (synced from Unleashed): Indala 224-bit RFID; Erreka KeeLoq programming mode; two new Sub-GHz Garage protocols (keyfinder2 and doorbell32); NFC MIFARE DESFire Light reading and FeliCa Standard card emulation.
- SubRATT adds three fixed-code protocols: AllStar Firefly, Elplast, and Linear Delta-3.
- USB Mode (Fox Settings) gains two new buttons - Music USB Mode and Media USB Mode (launching the Fox MP3 USB and Fox Media USB apps). The screen now scrolls, with a scrollbar on the right.
- ProtoPirate updated to v4.0.
- Experimental - Pandora ARM & Pandora PIC keyfob-firmware emulators (Apps -> Sub-GHz). These are early: most keyfob firmwares won't launch on-device yet because of the Flipper's RAM limits. They're included for experimentation and ongoing development, and ship with example firmware files.
Fixes
- Fewer false car-remote detections. KIA/Hyundai V5 and several others now validate before firing, and PSA shows "Unknown Signal" until you decrypt it, with clearer prompts.
- Fiat V1 "Error in protocol parameters description" on emulate is fixed.
- No more random reboot/BusFault when opening Sub-GHz with qFlipper connected (a radio-driver race).
- Sub-GHz <-> Garage hand-off fixed: crashes and "Cannot parse file" are resolved, backing out of a handed-off file returns you to Sub-GHz (not the desktop), and a low-memory guard prevents a hard power-off when loading a saved file on a busy system.
- Largest free memory block recovers after qFlipper / a serial session. It used to lose about 20 KB to a stranded block and stay that way until a reboot. Total free memory was never affected; this restores the contiguous headroom large apps need.
- The WiFi status-bar icon no longer occasionally draws on the wrong side of the battery after a cold boot.
- CC1101 receive is hardened against bad-hardware / noise data that could crash Read.
- RAM Monitor no longer faults when saving a heap map.
Improvements
- Car-remote transmit redesign: "Full" always does a faithful raw replay, "Send" does a clean re-encode, and decryption is on demand - more reliable TX with fewer surprises.
- Less background memory churn: the desktop no longer re-allocates wallpaper / clock / WiFi buffers behind a running app, and no longer polls the SD card every 2 seconds - smoother, with less transient fragmentation.
- Fox logo everywhere: result and status screens across NFC, RFID, Infrared, iButton, SubRATT and ProtoPirate now show the Fox logo (including the NFC "Don't move the Tag!" screen). The Dolphin mascot is gone from the first-party firmware.
How to update
- On the Flipper (with a Fox ESP32 attached): open Fox Update Downloader and select Fox Custom Firmware.
- In a browser: the FoxFW web flasher at https://foxfw.github.io/fox-web/flasher.html
- With qFlipper: download
flipper-z-f7-update-local.tgzbelow and use Install from file.
