Private AI that works with your files. What happens on your computer stays on your computer.
Which file to download
The downloads are at the bottom of this page. Skip the source code zip. Skip files whose names end in .app.tar.gz; the app uses those to update itself.
Choose Mac (Apple chip) or Mac (Intel) to match the Mac's processor. For a PC with an ARM processor, choose Windows (ARM); for other PCs, choose Windows.
On Linux, choose Linux (.deb) for Ubuntu or Debian, Linux (.rpm) for Fedora, or Linux (AppImage) for any other distribution. On an ARM computer, choose Linux ARM (.deb), Linux ARM (.rpm), or Linux ARM (AppImage) instead.
Open the Mac file and drag Rebost into Applications. On Windows, run the installer. Windows may show a warning if it does not recognize the app or its publisher. On Linux, open the .deb or .rpm with the software installer, or make the AppImage executable and run it.
What's new
Rebost 1.0.0
Rebost reaches 1.0.0. Thank you to everyone who took part: those who installed the early versions, reported what went wrong, suggested ideas in Discussions and tried Rebost on their Mac, Windows or Linux computer. Removing AIs you no longer use, choosing where AIs are kept and the Linux version all started as requests from you.
This is a maintenance release. It adds no new features and changes nothing in how Rebost works: it finishes polishing 0.9.9 and brings the components inside Rebost up to date, with stability as the goal.
Under the hood
- What runs the AI is the llama.cpp 0.8.0 release.
- The file and folder dialogs, the in-app updater, and the parts that read ZIP archives and web pages use their latest versions, with their fixes.
If you already have Rebost, it can offer this version from the sidebar. Or download from this page.
